A Future

Monday.

Eight in the morning.

Luo Ye sat in the front row, full of energy, leaving Professor Li Ping looking utterly surprised.

There was still a minute before class began, so he was not being stern. Instead, he chatted casually with Luo Ye. "Class rep, why are you so energetic today?"

"I just finished my morning run. I feel like I have endless energy right now."

"Morning run? Oh, right, the Sports Meet is coming up."

At that thought, Professor Li Ping sighed. "This year's Sports Meet seems to include a teachers' competition too. Unfortunately, I'm too old to take part."

"A teachers' competition? What's that?"

"Sixty meters, two hundred meters, four hundred meters, tug-of-war... There aren't many teachers in our Computer Science Department, and they're all middle-aged or elderly. It's a shame Little Gu isn't here."

Come to think of it, Professor Li Ping would probably retire after teaching their class.

Only another two or three years.

As the class bell rang, Li Haoyang stepped up beside Professor Li Ping and began taking attendance.

"Luo Ye."

"Here."

Attendance continued when Luo Ye's phone suddenly vibrated.

Wang Dachui: Answer for me. I overslept.

Seeing the message, Luo Ye's mouth twitched.

He and the male celebrity were not in the dorm, while Li Haoyang went for morning training, so no one had been waking Wang Dachui up lately.

As a result, he was often late.

Luo Ye: I'm in the front row. Can't help you.

"Wang Dachui."

Li Haoyang looked up and found no sign of Wang Dachui.

They were arranged by hometown, then by the first letter of their surnames among those from the same place.

So Shen Qiao came after Wang Dachui.

"Shen Qiao."

Shen Qiao was absent too.

"Shen Qiao."

On the second call, Shen Qiao finally
