Background / History

Leiyi identifies himself as an elf from the Helka Galaxy and a member of the God of War Alliance. He first communicates with Yu Hengqing during the latter's martial-soul awakening, appearing amid the manifestation of golden lightning. 1

After the awakening, Leiyi manifests as a golden figure with a physical form rather than an ordinary martial-soul projection. Yu Yuanzhen identifies him as a detached beast spirit, a rare type also associated with Yu Xiaogang. 2

Leiyi's thunder energy initially conflicts with Yu Hengqing's native soul power. To prevent harm to his host, he suppresses much of Yu Hengqing's cultivation, intending to assimilate it by absorbing lightning power from the Douluo Continent. 2 7

When the broken sword carrying the Thunder God's legacy enters Yu Hengqing's spiritual space, Leiyi initially blocks it. He withdraws only after receiving a message from the sword, allowing the divine trials to begin. 3
