Background / History

Ye Qiong founded Omphalos Academy after receiving the Otherworld Academy Construction System. Its founding mission required him to establish the academy and recruit five students; the system rewards Ye Qiong for cultivating students and increasing the academy's influence. 1

The academy began admissions in Soto City, advertising an elegant planned campus and free enrollment. Its recruitment rapidly drew applicants away from Shrek Academy, though early admissions were limited. Ye Qiong personally interviewed candidates while Jiang Zhu recorded the proceedings. 1

Although the academy's initial site appeared to be an empty tract of land, Ye Qiong unveiled a full campus complex with white walls, domes, arches, pillars, gardens, and fountains. The design resembles Omphalos Ochema City, and the academy's buildings can later be relocated intact. 4 39

Following its early Soul Fighting victories, Omphalos became a major presence in Soto City. It challenged the Imperial Fighting Team for qualification promotion, with Keleradra winning the seven-versus-one match through her chessboard control. 36 37

Ye Qiong relocated the entire campus from Soto City to a newly purchased plot outside Heaven Dou City. There, Omphalos quickly accumulated eighty-one victories at the Heaven Dou Great Soul Fighting Arena. 39 40

Spirit Hall later attempted to isolate the academy by cutting supplies, arranging repeated challenges, and tightening qualification regulations. Omphalos endured through royal supply channels and Tribbie's intervention during its accreditation review. 48 49
