Background

Mo Sang was once renowned among the tribes of the surrounding eight directions. In his youth, he had reached the eighth level of the Blood Condensation Realm and was stronger than the Fengzhen Tribe's future Barbarian Duke until the latter was thirty-four. He traveled beyond Wu Mountain three times, gaining experiences, losses, and an Ancient Barbarian Method unavailable to small tribes. 22

Despite refining Barbarian Blood for eighty years, Mo Sang remained unable to break through the ninth level of Blood Condensation and enter the Dust Opening Realm. His incomplete breakthrough left his Black Python Barbarian Mark unsolidified, but he remained one of the strongest figures in the region. 7 22

He raised Su Ming from childhood despite having no blood relation to him. Mo Sang nourished Su Ming with medicinal soups and Black Dragon Saliva, giving the frail boy a stronger and more agile body long before Su Ming could cultivate. 7 11 21

After Su Ming became a Barbarian Warrior, Mo Sang concealed his cultivation from the tribe, healed the damage caused by Su Ming's reckless breakthroughs, and taught him the dangers of Barbarian cultivation. Personality

Mo Sang is stern, perceptive, and deeply protective of Su Ming. He openly scolds Su Ming for taking needless risks, but his anger is consistently tempered by pride, concern, and affection. He accepts that Su Ming has secrets and refuses to force explanations from him, valuing the boy's safety over satisfying his own curiosity. 20 21

As a teacher, he prefers to make Su Ming think through danger rather than hand him answers. His lessons stress eliminating threats, planning for the consequences of violence, and finding a path out of a crisis before acting. 47

He is also politically cautious. Mo Sang recognizes the danger posed by the suspected traitor, the Black Mountain Tribe's growing strength, and the Black Dragon Tribe's attempts to intimidate Su Ming. 21 37 48
