After Baishi kills Karai and the other members of Kumogakure's delegation, he sends their heads to A and openly challenges him to battle. 144

A leads Kumogakure's forces to Broken Blade Canyon alongside Killer B. He is provoked by Baishi's mockery of Karai and immediately activates his full-power Lightning Release Chakra Mode. 147

Defeat at Broken Blade Canyon

A's opening attack is stopped by Baishi's bare hand. Baishi absorbs his strength, crushes his right wrist, and throws him into the ground. 147
