Sigh, let me sigh first. I still remembered that I started this book on April 1, 2024. Why did I remember it so clearly? Because I casually started this Douluo fanfic when I was beginning to doubt myself.
Mm. My original purpose in starting this Douluo fanfic was simple: my writing was still immature, my original novel had flopped, so I wanted to start a Douluo fanfic, get it serialized, and earn that 1,500 yuan safety net. Mm, my mindset at the start was actually exactly the same as when I wrote my first novel, "Bringing a Little Technological Shock to Douluo"—I was also just trying to earn a basic living.
But no matter what, this book saved me when I was in a writing slump. It made me understand that I should not lose faith in myself. Success was never accidental, and believing in oneself was, in itself, a very rare and precious strength.
This novel had an extremely short preparation period. In fact, I only glanced at a fellow author's Douluo fanfic, saw the three words "Soul Engine," slapped my thigh, and made the decision. I used the Soul Engine as the entry point, picked up a few Soul Tool concepts from "Technological Shock," and this Douluo fanfic took shape. So in terms of depth, this book did not have the same solid foundation as "Technological Shock." The core technology in "Soul Engine" was merely a side technology casually mentioned in "Technological Shock." And there were a great many technological concepts in "Technological Shock" that were enough to serve as a protagonist's cheat for many Douluo fanfics.
I even told some author friends that if they took another technology from "Technological Shock," developed it further, and placed it in Douluo 3, they could write another Douluo fanfic. Even
