The figure that had been sent flying crashed into the barrier, sending violent ripples through its innermost layer. Fortunately, captain-class Soul Reapers were maintaining it, and the barrier was not breached.
"Hahaha, now that's the kind of force I like."
The golden figure slammed against the barrier burst into wild laughter.
"What a sharp fellow."
A voice rang out, and then a figure slowly floated up out of thin air.
Behind the figure, a massive rift slowly opened. Through it, countless Hollows could be seen standing on the other side, staring fixedly toward the rift.
At the edge of the rift stood one humanoid Hollow after another—at least several dozen of them.
Powerful spiritual pressure poured out from the rift.
They were all Arrancar-level Hollows.
The Soul Reapers who sensed that spiritual pressure subconsciously swallowed, cold sweat sliding down their foreheads.
Standing atop a high-rise building, the Captain-Commander tightened his grip on his cane.
Dunn alone was already difficult enough to deal with, and now there were so many Hollows as well.
Some of the Hollows looked familiar. They had previously come to the World of the Living, causing considerable destruction and casualties, and their strength was no weaker than that of captain-class Soul Reapers.
Dunn swept his gaze around, taking in the situation.
"I gave you time, but honestly, I'm a little disappointed."
Dunn's voice was not loud, yet it echoed throughout Karakura Town.
"I thought some of you might have gotten stronger. But it seems you're still the same as ever."
The Soul Reapers who heard Dunn's words felt their hearts sink. That tone did not seem to bode well.
"Your Excellency need not speak so arrogantly..."
The Captain-Commander spoke in a deep voice, picking up Dunn's words.
"Are you not planning to ease the relationship between us?"
