Care of Magical Creatures lessons were generally held outdoors, requiring students to get hands-on and care for all kinds of magical creatures.
The moment Wizet and the others entered the grounds, they felt its warmth.
Several bonfires had been lit across the grounds, with several Fire Salamanders sprawled within each one.
Hagrid carried a basket in one hand. Seeing the students enter the enclosure, he quickly waved them over. "Come on in! Today's lesson won't be easy!"
During the previous school year, Wizet and the others had already encountered Fire Salamanders. Back then, they had needed to gather suitable firewood to keep the bonfires burning and thereby stimulate the Fire Salamanders' vitality.
Today's lesson went a step further. Not only did they need to keep the Fire Salamanders active, but they also had to draw blood from them.
Hagrid beckoned Wizet forward and demonstrated how to soothe a Fire Salamander, while Wizet carried out the blood-drawing.
As he demonstrated the procedure, Wizet could clearly feel that the girls' gazes upon him were seemingly... as scorching as the bonfires.
Once the demonstration was complete, Hagrid distributed the glass vials from his basket and divided them into groups of five. Everyone had to draw blood from a Fire Salamander themselves.
Holding a glass vial, Wizet and his dormmates approached a bonfire. A Hufflepuff girl immediately walked over.
The Hufflepuff girl had naturally come to invite Wizet to the Yule Ball;
Just as before, Wizet politely turned her down.
As soon as the girl left with a dejected expression, Wizet's dormmates crowded around him.
Only after arriving at the grounds did Michael finally snap out of it, and he was still dwelling on what had happened before class.
He was the first to speak. "Merlin's beard! You actually turned Fleur down! That's unbelievable!"
