Ludo Bagman could not help cheering loudly. "With two Grindylows chasing him, Potter actually dared to step on their heads to shake them off in such a crazy way!"
Sirius Black had been watching Harry closely. Seeing Harry evade the Grindylows in such a perilous manner, he slapped his thigh and exclaimed, "Just as bold as James Potter!"
"I hope Harry notices..." Remus Lupin spotted a change at the edge of the screen, and his expression instantly turned grave. "That Merperson preparing to ambush him!"
After Harry stepped on them, the two Grindylows became so disoriented that they could no longer tell friend from foe, flailing their long, skinny fingers as they attacked each other.
Harry let out a deep breath and raised his hand to let the wristband absorb the incoming lights, when he suddenly sensed danger behind him and heard the rush of water by his ears.
He instinctively twisted sideways, barely dodging a spear thrust from behind.
Another rush of water sounded, and a second spear came stabbing toward him. The water seemed to tear apart in that instant as the spear sent up a violent spray.
Harry did not even have time to twist away again. He could only kick his legs and try to pull farther away.
Harry had chosen correctly. The spear failed to strike his right arm, merely grazing his right shoulder before colliding with the Shield Charm flowing around him, producing a shrill scraping sound.
Pain shot through his shoulder like an electric current, but Harry secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Judging from his many years of getting injured, the spear had not broken through the Shield Charm's protection.
What was more, the sweeping spear had also given Harry a push, allowing him to swim a little farther upward.
