Background / History

Medusa Queen inherited the Snake-People Tribe’s throne after the previous queen died in a war against human experts. The previous queen had borne twin daughters; under tribal custom, only one could inherit the throne, while the other was condemned to die. Medusa refused to fight her younger sister Die'er and later searched for her, intending to surrender the throne to Die'er and die in her place. 87

Die'er lost her memories and fell in love with Ice Emperor Hai Bodong. Mistaking Hai Bodong for Die'er's captor, Medusa attacked him. Die'er recovered her memories during their battle and intervened; Hai Bodong shielded her from Medusa’s Serpent Seal, but Die'er died amid the Snake-People Tribe’s arrows.
