Two Eras, Two Names

"Liverpool! Liverpool...!"

"Glory, Glory Man United...!!"

The fans of the two teams sang across a street, their voices growing louder and louder, neither side willing to stop first.

Police officers patrolled the edges of the crowd with police dogs, and even the dogs kept sneezing from the deafening songs.

Several Manchester United and Liverpool fans stood shoulder to shoulder at a barbecue stall, waiting for their skewers.

They had been pointing at each other's shirts and bickering moments earlier, but once the skewers arrived, they clinked their bottles together and laughed away their grudges.

An hour before kick-off, more than half the seats in Philip II Arena were already filled.

The players of both teams also began coming out to warm up.

In the stands, some people held up posters of Chen Anno, while others held up posters of Cristiano Ronaldo. The two waves of posters faced off from afar.

The Liverpool fans held up the moment Annuo scored with an overhead kick, while the Manchester United fans displayed Cristiano Ronaldo's signature celebration.

Neither side would concede, and the posters were raised higher and higher.

During the warm-up, every time Chen Anno touched the ball, a wave of cheers erupted from the Liverpool end.

On the other side, Cristiano Ronaldo practiced shots from the top of the penalty arc. Ball after ball crashed into the net, drawing equally thunderous cheers from the Manchester United supporters.

Whenever the ball reached either of their feet, female fans screamed throughout the stadium. The shrill cries were so piercing that Chen Anno's legs nearly went weak.

It showed just how popular these two superstars, blessed with both looks and skill, were among female fans.

Some of them might not even understand what offside was, but their enthusiasm was no less than that of fans
