As a German, Nicolas's father was naturally a die-hard fan of both Bayern Munich and the Germany national team.
Whenever Germany played, the old man would sit in front of the TV, more seriously than he ever worked.
Chen Anno smiled too. "I think Germany shouldn't have much trouble finishing first in the group. In Group F, Germany should be the strongest team."
When Nicolas heard that, her eyes curved into crescents, wearing a satisfied expression that said, "That's more like it."
Seeing her expression, Chen Anno could not help deliberately teasing her.
"Hmm..." He deliberately drew out the sound. "Not necessarily. In this group, whether it's Mexico, Sweden, or even the South Korea national team, they all have some strength. If Germany don't perform well, even getting out of the group could be a problem."
Nicolas immediately rolled her eyes. "How is that possible? I don't believe it."
"I'm telling you, it's genuinely possible." Chen Anno looked completely serious. "I played a friendly against Mexico, and they're really not weak. Plus, they perform very consistently at every World Cup. Then there's Sweden. Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic has retired from the national team, I actually think that's a good thing for Sweden. Without him, their other players might play more freely. Most of their players are starters in the Top Five Leagues, so their strength is beyond question. So I really think Germany won't have an easy time."
"Hmph... if another team were in this group, then maybe. But Germany is different." Nicolas stubbornly insisted.
"How are Germany different?" Chen Anno pursued with a smile.
"Germany..." Nicolas was briefly at a loss for words, then glared at him. "Cut it out. You're just trying to annoy me!"
"When did I do that..." Chen Anno looked innocent. "I'm just stating the facts."
