A vast city known as North Barren City stood at the edge of a desolate sea, serving as a port city as well.
From above, ships could be seen everywhere. Giant vessels came and went, competing across the waters.
Most eye-catching of all was an opaque gate near the city entrance, resembling an ancient bronze mirror.
Groups of people could occasionally be seen emerging from the gate and blending into the city, while others entered the light gate and vanished from the city entirely.
Inside the city's tallest building, an extremely heated discussion was underway.
A group of people who held the city's lifeline in their hands were now cursing each other without restraint, utterly devoid of the bearing expected of those in high positions.

"This is a grave provocation. We must start a war," a Gold Tier warrior shouted sternly.
