The Abyssal Void outside the Nightmare Realm!
"What's taking so long? Why hasn't Blood River come back? He wouldn't be up to something, would he?"
"Maybe, but I haven't seen any change in the Nightmare Realm."
The Demon Gods debated among themselves. None had imagined that a Demon God could fall in an Abyss World. They only suspected that the Blood River King had been delayed.
The Demon Gods were like a pack of hyenas, watching the Nightmare Realm intently, ready to rush in and tear it apart at the slightest sign of weakness.
Then they sensed the aura of battle leaking from the Nightmare Realm and exchanged bewildered looks.
"Is there a Demon God in the Nightmare Realm too? How could a battle at the Demon God level break out?"
Even across an entire world, the aura of a battle between two Demon Gods could not be concealed.
"Impossible. Absolutely impossible. The World Will would never allow an outsider at the Demon God level to hide within it."
Even that was generous of a World Will. Some worlds had stricter rules and refused entry to all outsiders. They would not even let them approach.
A Demon God entering another world would inevitably cause an uproar. There was no hiding it without some special means.
"Maybe Demon Heaven has some special trick."
Rather than believe a Demon God was hiding inside, the others found it more likely that Demon Heaven possessed a way to unleash an attack comparable to a Demon God's. That was difficult too, but such things did exist.
"Looks like the Blood River King is in trouble. He's probably caught between pressing on and retreating."
Some Demon Gods laughed. If Demon Heaven could unleash such power, he could clearly hold off Blood River for a while.
