Background

Mo is a transmigrated Uchiha who possesses an illusory panel connected to the Seven-Colored Lotus. The Lotus can grant immortality and world-traveling abilities upon fusion; Mo pursues its abilities by raising his proficiency in chakra natures and related powers. 1 5

He refused to attend the Ninja Academy, considering it a waste of time. Instead, from age five onward, he insisted on accompanying senior Uchiha on missions, awakening the Sharingan at the same age and building a reputation through lethal field experience. 4 5

By age ten, Mo had attained jōnin-level strength and was known throughout the ninja world as the “Blood Ninja,” a title earned through his habit of leaving no survivors during missions. 4

Mo wears a high-collared black Uchiha combat robe and carries a ninja blade at his waist. His hairstyle differs from the usual Uchiha style: his black hair is tied into a braid behind his head, while the hair at his temples is bound with white bandages. 2 11 29

Mo joins Kakashi, Matsumoto Ryohei, and Inoue Shōji on an S-rank mission to investigate the Third Kazekage’s disappearance and gather intelligence before war. He intervenes in a bandit attack on Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko, primarily to obtain information on Sunagakure activity. 1 2

Conflict with Root

After Root attempts to summon and later target Shisui, Mo openly defies Danzō and rejects Root’s authority. Uchiha Setsuna subsequently provides him with the Uchiha clan’s collected techniques, including Izanagi and Izanami, and pledges support for Mo’s future leadership. 34 37 39

Mo infiltrates Root headquarters using Invisibility, survives Danzō’s use of Izanagi, then uses a Lightning Clone to observe him and assassinate him a second time. He escapes by impersonating Danzō and sends Danzō’s corpse and Sharingan away through the ninja cat Mai. 44 46 47

Third Shinobi World War

Mo leads Team 8 and commands Team 7 on the Hidden Cloud front. He directs Kakashi to manage Team 7 while concentrating on enemy elites and the Seven-Colored Lotus’s progression. 50 51
