"Peter, Peter, come and look at me, do I look good in this?"
The Parker household was a bit noisy this morning, as May Parker was shouting for Peter.
Peter yawned and walked towards Aunt May's room with a hint of helplessness.
In front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror, a voluptuous, mature Italian woman was striking a pose. Her skin was as fair as a peach, looking so juicy that you felt you could squeeze water out of it with a gentle pinch.
Alright, it might not be appropriate to describe his dear aunt with such words, but that was Peter's first thought upon seeing Aunt May.
"Aunt May, I told you, it's just Tony Stark. There's no need to be so formal about it," Peter said helplessly.
"Just Tony Stark?" Aunt May's voice suddenly rose several octaves, and she looked at Peter in disbelief. "You didn't say that yesterday when you got the news. Your expression, you were practically jumping for joy! And don't think I don't know you couldn't sleep last night, tossing and turning, right?"
"Uh..." Peter was momentarily speechless.
Indeed, if it were his past self, he would have been incredibly excited and taken it very seriously that Iron Man, Tony Stark, was personally coming to visit him.
It was Tony Stark!
Genius scientist, billionaire, Iron Man, Avenger. Countless halos surrounded him; he was like the protagonist in a novel, radiant and dazzling.
And he, Peter Parker, was just an ordinary kid from a modest family, not particularly popular at school.
It was like a prince visiting a slum to see the poor. How could the poor not be excited?
But the miraculous fusion with Shadow Spider-Man last night not only gave Peter some physical "evolution" and enriched his knowledge, but it also made him feel a subtle sense of resistance towards capitalists like Stark deep down.
Moreover, with Shadow Spider-Man's logical reasoning abilities, Peter was now 95% sure that Iron Man was coming because he had discovered his abilities!
He had even guessed some of the preceding events.
In the Sokovia incident a month ago, the Avengers had done their best to stop Ultron's world-ending plot.
However, many "rumors" were still circulating online, claiming that Ultron was originally Stark's creation, and that the fall of Sokovia, the displacement of millions of residents, and the countless casualties and property damage were ultimately all Tony Stark's fault.
Although Stark Industries later generously contributed large sums of money to the resettlement and compensation of Sokovia residents after the disaster, building shelters, organizing medical teams, and even having its pharmaceutical division develop and provide free medicine, all of this was seen as Tony Stark's atonement for his mistakes.
But atonement did not mean innocence, nor could it erase the mistakes themselves.
In the past, out of admiration for Iron Man, Peter was very angry at those who attacked Iron Man and often argued with them online.
But now, he thought, those attacks might very well be true.
Of course, those who deliberately spread these rumors clearly had ulterior motives.
Perhaps it was to attract attention and profit from traffic, or perhaps it was to... attack Iron Man and his Stark Industries.
Because he had also seen calls for Iron Man to release some of Stark Industries' technology to the public under the guise of "public safety supervision."
Their intentions were obvious.
Peter was certain that even if Iron Man foolishly complied, this technology would only be secretly taken and hidden by those with ulterior motives for their own selfish calculations.
Of course, Iron Man was clearly not a foolish idiot and would not actually do such a thing.
He had the ability and the means to protect his legitimate assets.
The second clue was that a few weeks ago, in a place called Lagos, the Avengers' actions caused a building to be destroyed and many casualties.
Although they were also fighting terrorists, they undoubtedly caused public panic.
Therefore, a few days later, a conference was held at the LHG Building in Vienna to discuss the "Sokovia Accords."
The accords required restrictions on the Avengers' actions, stipulating that they could only act when their intervention was deemed necessary after an assessment, rather than acting as they pleased as they had in the past.
Unfortunately, on the day the accords were signed, the LHG Building in Vienna was attacked by terrorists, resulting in the deaths of twelve people, including the King of Wakanda, T'Chaka, and at least seventy injured.
This incident also caused significant public panic.
Although the official photos of the suspect were released, identifying the suspect as the notorious Hydra agent: "Winter Soldier" James Buchanan Barnes, conspiracy theorists believed it was "revenge" from some former Avengers who were unwilling to sign the accords.
Some even dug up old news, confirming that Captain America and the Winter Soldier were once very close friends—Captain America's story was well-known; he transformed from a stage actor into the real Captain America by rescuing his friend the Winter Soldier and many other captured soldiers. Finding this was not difficult.
And as everyone knew, Captain America was not present on the day the accords were signed. Although the reason was unknown, it was clear that he was unwilling to sign the accords.
Although it was difficult to believe logically that this hero, who had been a symbol of American spirit for a long time, would be an opposition figure, that was the reality.
He also had a motive.
After a series of deductions, it was logical and reasonable.
If the previous points were just speculation, then the video of Captain America, the Winter Soldier, and a person in black armor fighting on the streets of Germany yesterday confirmed these speculations.
Captain America had become a criminal!
Currently, negative comments about the Avengers dominated the internet. Especially Captain America, who had gone from a superhero to a universally despised supervillain!
In summary, Peter had only two guesses as to why Iron Man was coming to see him at this time:
First, he had discovered his true identity and his superpowers, and therefore wanted him to sign the "Sokovia Accords" and impose restrictions on himself.
Second, building on the first point, due to Captain America's rebellion, he might unite the remaining people who were unwilling to sign the accords to jointly oppose the faction led by Iron Man.
Iron Man needed help, so he was looking for him.
Peter pondered silently, if this was the case, what should he do?
"Hey, Peter? What are you spacing out about?" Aunt May had walked up to Peter at some point.
Peter snapped back to reality and smiled, "Aunt May, you look absolutely radiant."
"Really? I think so too!"
