"Fuck, these past few days have been hell. The Shadow Prison Building has never had luck this bad. First the Blood Calamity, then the Blood Mist Creatures went berserk, and now we've run into people from the city. This game is impossible to play!"
"Yeah. I wonder how the other buildings in the Ghost Mausoleum are doing. Have any of them been wiped out?"
"I don't know about the others, but the Evil Ghost Building is still standing. They've had it rough, though. Several households of players have moved here from there recently."
Outside the Shadow Prison Building, a group of players who had been clearing new territory rested and talked about recent events. Every one of them looked miserable as they poured out their complaints.
"Look on the bright side. The weaker they get, the more opportunities we have. We're already preparing an expedition while we're still a second-tier Dormitory Building. The Shadow Prison Building must be one of a kind!" a one-eyed man said with a laugh.
"He's right. I moved here because I figured the Shadow Prison Building had strong defenses. Looks like I made the right call. With the other Dormitory Buildings in decline, this is our chance to rise," said another man in a cloak.
"The Blood Mist Creatures have stopped rampaging. The Floor Leaders should have sent scouting teams out by now... I hope all the other buildings are in terrible shape." A short male player looked full of anticipation.
If they could plunder other Dormitory Buildings while they were still at the second tier, the Shadow Prison Building might have what it took to reach the fifth.
Then they could become veteran players of the Shadow Prison Building, put down roots, and build lives there.
Some people genuinely treated being a player as
