History
Golden Glow Island is a legendary island whose appearances cannot be predicted by time or location. Its previous recorded appearance was nearly one million years earlier, in another sea region of the Luo River World. Its erratic movement earned it the name Ghost Treasure Island. 541
During its Chaotic Sea Region appearance, its seven-colored rosy light illuminated the surrounding sea from as far as a million li away. The phenomenon drew cultivators from nearby merchant ships and rapidly alerted major regional powers. 541 542
According to an account Qin Huaian encountered on Golden Glow Peak, the island was created by an unknown woman resembling Min Yingzhu. She established it to pass down the secret art known as the Origin Eye, then claimed to have left the world. 590
Appearance and Environment
Golden Glow Island initially manifests as an enormous mass of seven-colored radiant clouds, with rosy light coloring the surrounding sky and sea. 541 542
- Spiritual energy is at least five times denser than outside the island and faintly contains Dao essence. 543
- Entering through the seven-colored radiance separates cultivators through random teleportation. 543 551
- Divine sense is heavily restricted; Qin Huaian's range fell from over 30,000 li to approximately 3 li. 543
- Ordinary sight is restricted to roughly 100 li, beyond which only seven-colored radiance is visible. 543
- The island is divided into an outer island and an inner island, with its most valuable opportunities concentrated deeper within. 560
Regions
Outer Island
The outer island contains dense spiritual energy, numerous spirit herbs, Umbral Panthers, and colored energy water spheres. While many low-grade and lower-tier immortal herbs can be found in abundance, truly exceptional treasures remain difficult to acquire. 543 564 606
Killing Umbral Panthers produces colored energy water spheres that can greatly accelerate cultivation. Killing five Umbral Panthers of the same realm can also grant access to the Origin Eye divine ability. 552
Inner Island
The inner island holds Golden Glow Island's most precious heavenly materials, earthly treasures, and Dao Fruits. Many entrants fail to find it before the island closes; ancient records state that traveling continuously in one direction can lead to it. 551 553 560
Cultivators capable of reaching the inner island have cultivated at least the first level of the Origin Eye. An ancient city near the inner island substantially improves the speed of Origin Eye cultivation. 569
Ancient City
The ancient city serves as a comparatively secure gathering point for inner-island entrants and a major place for cultivating the Origin Eye. Cultivators generally avoid acting rashly within it. 569 573
The city lies roughly 30 million li north of Golden Glow Peak. 572 577
Golden Glow Peak
Golden Glow Peak is the core of the inner island and contains numerous high-value treasures, including Dao Fruits. Its summit region is covered by dense mist and extensive formations. 572 588
- The peak is vast enough that Qin Huaian could not see its boundaries even with a million-li field of vision. 577
- Only cultivators with the Origin Eye at the third level can clearly perceive the formations within the dense fog. 588
- Outside rosy-light-filled mountain caves, the greatest danger on the peak is other cultivators, as robbery and killing are commonplace. 577
- Treasures documented on or around the peak include the Yellow Dragon Ginseng and Wind Lightning Apricot. 588 590
Origin Eye
The Origin Eye is Golden Glow Island's signature divine ability. It counters the island's visual restrictions and enables its user to see farther, perceive through illusions, and obtain greater access to the island's opportunities. 549 708 723
| Level | Effect / Significance | Chapter |
|---|---|---|
| First level | Required of those who successfully reach the inner island. | 569 |
| Third level | Allows cultivators to clearly see through the dense mist and formations on Golden Glow Peak; can pierce otherwise impenetrable illusions. | 588 708 |
| Fourth level | Grants a field of vision reaching one million li on the island. Qin Huaian was the first known cultivator to reach this level. | 577 708 |
The golden-pupil image that initially conveys the Origin Eye ordinarily vanishes from a cultivator's mind upon departure, preventing further cultivation or transmission. Qin Huaian's fourth-level breakthrough instead revealed and imprinted the complete cultivation method in his mind. 555 576 708

Major Events
- Golden Glow Island appeared in the Chaotic Sea Region, prompting immediate competition among merchant associations, sects, rogue cultivators, and outside powers. 541 542 604
- Major Chaotic Sea Region powers restricted teleportation arrays after its appearance, forcing many rogue cultivators to spend immense resources for entry. 604
- Between five and six million cultivators entered over the island's ten-year opening, while only approximately one million emerged alive. 600 604
- When the island closed, every remaining entrant vanished simultaneously and reappeared in the surrounding sea region. 600
- The island itself disappeared after its closure, leaving factions and opportunists waiting around its former location. 600 603
Trivia
- Golden Glow Island's treasures are often exaggerated by outside rumor. Low-tier immortal herbs are plentiful, but top-grade herbs and Dao Fruits are scarce and heavily protected. 606
- Every cultivator who leaves alive is widely believed to possess substantial cultivation resources, making survivors targets for pursuit, trade, and robbery. 579 603 606
