Background / History
Han Jia grew up in Blackstone Town alongside Li Yi. A chubby child in his youth, he later left town with his father to seek refuge with an uncle in a neighboring settlement. When widespread conscription began, he was drafted into the Chen Kingdom military. His uncle's prior military service gave him more knowledge of the army and martial cultivation than most recruits. 13
He reunites with Li Yi while reporting to camp. The two quickly resume their friendship, and Han Jia explains the Body Tempering Realm and its nine transformations to Li Yi. 13
During the assault on Thousand-Zhang Temple, Han Jia fights a rebel leader despite lacking the cultivation to fully use his inborn strength against such an opponent. He ultimately restrains the false monk at great personal cost, creating the opening for Li Yi to kill him. Han Jia is severely injured and loses consciousness; Li Yi uses his own reward request to secure treatment for him. 15 16
After passing Song Jie's assessment, Han Jia enters Song Jie's personal guard unit. He receives the Gale Breathing Method, though Li Yi warns that its emphasis on speed and lightness is poorly suited to Han Jia's powerful, forceful fighting style. 21
Han Jia later becomes one of Li Yi's principal commanders. He commands the Wind Tiger Battalion's heavily armored infantry, then leads the Barbarian-Defeating Battalion, a force regarded among the five strongest battle groups at Wild Goose Pass. 56 86

Personality
Han Jia is direct, enthusiastic, and deeply loyal to Li Yi. He openly celebrates Li Yi's achievements, notably leading recruits in calling him “Cloud-Piercing Arrow Li Yi.” 23

He considers Li Yi's support—cultivation guidance, equipment, rank, and opportunity—a debt he intends to repay with his life. 47 89
Abilities & Skills
Inborn Divine Strength
Han Jia's defining attribute is extraordinary physical strength, allowing him to overpower opponents beyond his cultivation level.

- Condenses blood mist and True Qi around his blade to strengthen his offense. 89

- Used by the Barbarian-Defeating Battalion in close-quarters defense on the walls of Wild Goose Pass. 113
Command and Battlefield Tactics
Han Jia develops from a powerful recruit into a major field commander.

Trivia
