He had to heal Madis's wounds. Otherwise, Madis would never make it back to the Holy City alive.

"Wasn't the summoning circle on his body already removed?"

"Only the one on his skin was removed." As Certain Death spoke, her eyes lit up. "I see. The magic circle was buried inside his body... on his bones."

Someone had dug out Madis's bones, inscribed the formation onto them, stuffed them back in, and then healed him with healing magic...

"The holy magic power was likely the trigger, activating his final demon summoning, using himself as the sacrifice—"

A massive figure appeared in his place—a demon.

It had bluish-green skin, curved horns, yellow eyes like lamps, and dark-blue wings on its back. Its arms were enormously thick, while sharp steel claws hung naturally at its sides.
