Author's Note: The Theocracy considering annexing the Kingdom comes from the original novel, but due to various political reasons, they were unable to do so. Instead, they wanted the Empire to annex the Kingdom, which had fallen into decadence because of its prosperity and comfort. The Theocracy's attack on the Warrior Captain in Volume One was intended to weaken the Kingdom and hasten the Empire's annexation of it.
