After Lakyus delivered the finishing blow, the gray demon was thoroughly dead, its brain reduced to mush.

The white demon stepped forward, planted a foot on the demon's corpse, and stomped down hard, crushing its head completely.

The sight sent a chill through Evileye's heart. This guy is merciless even toward his own subordinate.

"Would you be willing to become my subordinate?" The white demon extended a hand toward Evileye.

Evileye froze for a moment. "Huh?"

Then she laughed. "Become your subordinate? And what would I get out of it?"

Evileye did not refuse immediately, nor did she pull out the Crystal Lance and throw it at him on the spot. She was trying to buy time.

She could already tell that this demon was strong—perhaps too strong for her to handle. That made stalling all the more important.

For every second she delayed, Lakyus had a little more time to bring Lord Momon here.

"Such as?" Evileye tilted her head.

"I can spare your life. If your attitude is sincere enough, I can spare your companion's life as well. And you may receive the protection of this great one—the strongest demon." The white demon spread his palms.

"By receiving the baptism of my demonic energy, the two of you can become even stronger."

"When you say spare her life, do you mean letting her go?" Evileye asked with a cold laugh.
