Ritsuka smiled. "Their strength probably isn't enough. This isn't a problem that mages or the United Nations military can solve."

The red lights kept flashing, signaling a major national-level disaster, yet neither Ritsuka nor Nero reacted too strongly.

To them, this was still within the scope of a "small matter."

"Though I could send Servants, I'd rather make the trip myself."

Ritsuka removed his blindfold and slowly opened his eyes.

His right eye still had a sapphire-blue pupil, but his left had become something entirely different.

It was a pure golden eye, ancient patterns revolving within both pupils as though golden mandala serpents were dancing through the air.

He had lost his left eye at the Temple of Time at the End. This eye was a "relic" inherited from someone else.

Because that person knew that Ritsuka had long since had no one else to rely on but himself, they chose to leave their "eye" to him.

Protecting him at his side in another way.

This eye did not possess vision in the true sense, but as long as Ritsuka activated his "Authority," he could see what lay before him—and even more.

"[Transposition Magecraft], activate."

A pitch-black diamond-shaped cube appeared before them, its darkness leading to some unknown place.

"Come with me, Nero."

Holding Nero's hand, Ritsuka stepped into the black cube.

Then, they traveled from the secret base on the plateau to a modern battlefield in Northern Europe.

Black, alien monsters roamed through the town, attacking others as police forces scattered in all directions. Even when they fought back with handguns, their bullets could not kill the creatures.

Ritsuka stood beside Nero. The two floated in the sky, as if their feet rested upon invisible bricks.

"Destroy this town," Ritsuka said quietly as he looked down.

"Destroy all of
