"Director Kutaragi, welcome to Osaka." Tsujimoto Kenzo stood and gestured toward the reception area beside him.
The two sat down on the sofa.
The secretary brought in two cups of green tea, then withdrew.
"Capcom has been very busy lately." Ken Kutaragi looked at the reports on the table. "Resident Evil is selling very well in North America."
"Thanks to European and American players' love of zombies." Tsujimoto Kenzo picked up his teacup. "The channel distributors in North America are urging us for stock every day. The machines at the factory haven't stopped for twenty-four hours straight."
Ken Kutaragi did not beat around the bush.
He was not good at beating around the bush to begin with.
"Sony hopes Resident Evil can come to PlayStation," Ken Kutaragi went straight to the point. "This game shouldn't be confined to a single platform."
Tsujimoto Kenzo set down his teacup.
The porcelain touched the glass coffee table with a crisp clink.
"Sega's Jupiter platform currently has an install base approaching ten million," Tsujimoto Kenzo stated the facts. "And when North America was out of stock, Sega's Tijuana factory did Capcom a great favor. The three hundred thousand discs they pressed in a rush solved our burning need. Sega's service attitude and industrial capabilities are there for the whole industry to see."
Ken Kutaragi understood the meaning beneath the strings.
The other party was raising his own price, and also testing Sony's chips.
"PlayStation's sales in Europe and America are also growing steadily." Ken Kutaragi took out the prepared documents and pushed them to the middle of the coffee table. "Regarding the port, Sony has prepared a specific cooperation plan."
