The sea giant, still imposing just moments ago and having only appeared for a few breaths, was swept savagely by the enormous tail of the two-hundred-meter-plus giant whale beneath the black wizard. With a bang, the elemental giant scattered apart.

"A Level 3 creature!"

Having initially thought it was merely a means of transport, the female wizard now realized that it was a synthetic beast belonging to the black wizard.

Synthetic beasts were originally a branch of the mysteries of life developed by black wizards in the Black Region, knowledge that was practically mandatory for every qualified black wizard. Thus, it was not particularly strange for some black wizards to create synthetic beasts that exceeded their own rank.

Generally speaking, however, a black wizard capable of controlling a Level 3 synthetic beast like this would be considered an elite even in the Black Region. Why would he be on the Wizard Continent, gathering ordinary humans as experimental materials?

A dazzling milky-white halo shone from the tip of the female wizard's wand, yet a layer of black mist from the black wizard's bone staff effortlessly blocked it. The cloud of black mist then grew larger and larger, as though it were absorbing the female wizard's attack, forming a massive vortex.

It was extremely similar to the female wizard's attack, except the white flames of light had now been transformed into black flames of light by this black wizard. They were further enhanced by a terrifying power of human despair, their offensive power far surpassing the female wizard's previous attack.
