After leaving the Three-Star Holy Tower's territory, the first thing Green did was devote himself to researching Abyssal Wyverns.

To Abyss body-refining wizards, Abyssal Wyverns were what companion insects were to elemental wizards—a part of their own strength. Agemund had turned defeat into victory in his final days precisely by relying on his own Abyssal Wyvern.

It was just unknown how long it would take before another Abyss King dared challenge Agemund, now that he had displayed such power.

Mystery's Myriad-Headed Bird and the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab slowly descended into a canyon.

The canyon was damp and gloomy. Strange insect cries and shrill screeches echoed everywhere, while traces of small Abyss creatures could be seen all around. With large amounts of Abyss Moss growing here, the Abyss aura was clearly several times denser than elsewhere.

"Master, up ahead is the most famous Abyssal Wyrm breeding pool in the vicinity."

A body-refining wizard clad in animal hides, holding a black trident, broad and powerfully built with dark skin, sat atop a small wyvern around five meters long as he spoke respectfully to Green.

"Mm."

After Green casually tossed him several high-grade energy crystals, the body-refining wizard caught them and left excitedly.

"Caw caw caw! Young Master, look! I caught one!"

Little Eight cried out excitedly.

On a black stone slab, a tiny Abyssal Wyvern shaped like a little lizard was pinned beneath Little Eight's foot, struggling constantly. It was a newborn Abyssal Wyvern, so weak that even Little Eight could bully it.

Green naturally knew that newborn Abyssal Wyverns were extraordinarily weak. After glancing at it twice, he paid it no further attention and walked step by step through the canyon, where shattered rocks covered the ground and mud was everywhere.
