Supreme authority

• The Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerable is the Heavenly Emperor of the heavens, described as ruler of the ten directions and myriad realms. His authority includes overseeing saints, ruling the cosmos, carrying out Heaven's way, commanding spirits, and wielding the source Great Dao rules of the heavenly void. 873

Heavenly Net

The Heavenly Net is the Heavenly Court's central law network and one of its principal instruments of control.

• It is founded on heavenly statutes and laws, supplemented by Heavenly Dao origin, the stars, Five Elements, yin and yang, divine ranks, and the collective power of the court's gods. 735

Authority Over Heavenly Realms

The Heavenly Court's influence extends across an immense number of Heavenly Realm Dimensions; even Dao Lords require decades to travel beyond the regions it governs. 658

History

Early recorded actions

The Heavenly Court could inspect immortals and gods across the myriad heavens through the Heavenly Realm gate and influence the strength of lightning tribulations through the Thunder Palace. 485

It granted Zhang Jian bodily ascension through a Heavenly Emperor's decree, allowing a limited number of accompanying cultivators to pass through the Celestial Gate into the Three Sovereigns Heavenly Realm. 510

Following Zhang Jian's service in the Jade Glaze World, the court awarded him Purple Qi Golden Flowers, celestial nectar, jade liquid, and immortal pills, while determining that his accumulated merit was insufficient for an immediate promotion. 554

Chonghua Palace crisis

Xing Tian's invasion of Chonghua Palace damaged the Xuantian Wheel, enabled prisoners and demon gods to escape, and forced the Heavenly Court to activate the Heavenly Net for a large-scale suppression operation. 605

The court offered rewards for repairing the damaged realm-suppressing divine artifact and later issued a joint-investigation notice targeting escaped criminals, including Feng Bo, Jinyuan, and the Devil Lord Heaven's Evil. 605 608

Expansion into the Heavenly Spirit Realm

The court formally assaulted the Heavenly Spirit Realm, deploying celestial soldiers, divine generals, the Combat Division's stars, and multiple spacetime battlefields. 687

After securing the realm, it reshaped its political order, recruited native immortals and gods into the divine path, and created reserves for the Combat Division. 704 707

War against the Demon Race

The Heavenly Court identified the Demon Race as a longstanding target of its purges and cooperated with the Three Sovereigns Holy Court against Taiyi and his allies. 763 856

Later succession

After the return of saints and the beginning of a new cosmic epoch, the Jade Emperor sealed the Kunlun Heavenly Realm and convened a Demon-Slaying Assembly to cleanse the heavens and void. 895
