Background

Morita Yu initially approached the Uchiha children through what he had heard from his father: that they began training early and were exceptionally capable. This contributed to his earlier harshness toward Che. At the Academy side courtyard, he offered Che an awkward, incomplete apology while helping wash and stack bowls; Che accepted it by acknowledging his own harsh reply. Yu also admitted that he had nearly run into the finish rope during an assessment, finding common ground with Kiyo over their shared habit of almost crashing while running. 41

During the side-courtyard familiarization, Yu became part of Che, Kiyo, and Saori's wider group.
