Background / History

At ten years old, Izuna trained under Madara and sought Qin Mo's help to awaken the Sharingan. He wanted strength to contribute to the Uchiha Clan and protect those close to him, accepting the pain required for its awakening despite Madara's concern. Qin Mo's genjutsu recreated the death of Izuna's mother, leading to his One-Tomoe Sharingan awakening. 4 5

Izuna later underwent five years of special training under Anlong Guyue alongside Crimson Snow. Although he and Madara returned without Mangekyō Sharingan, they had acquired forbidden techniques and secret arts; Izuna remained confident that he could help Madara defeat the Senju. 164

Qin Mo eventually engineered a second illusion in which Izuna watched Hashirama defeat Madara and Tobirama apparently kill him. Izuna's desperation awakened his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, but his rage nearly shattered his mind until Qin Mo stabilized him. After waking, Izuna immediately embraced the unharmed Madara. 169
