Background / History
Yu Ke is a collateral descendant of the Luoshui Yu Clan, an old Great Zhou noble family whose fortunes have declined over the centuries. The clan's founding ancestor, Yu Chuan, was a famed Great True Person and sword cultivator, but later generations produced no comparable figure; Yu Ke inherited only a thin remnant of that lineage. 4 238
Before his transformation, Yu Ke was regarded as a stubborn cultivation devotee with mediocre sword aptitude and a frail body. He had spent four years in the Divine Firmament Sect's outer sect without advancing, while his predecessor sold off nearly all family property in pursuit of Foundation Establishment, retaining only a magic sword and his commitment to the sword path. 4 49 238
After transmigrating into this body, Yu Ke uses the Kun Void Cauldron and its simulations to accumulate insight, Mediating Mother Qi, and cultivation gains. His physical condition rapidly improves: stagnant blood and impurities are expelled, his spiritual energy becomes clearer, and his previously sickly appearance changes noticeably. 24 49 52 159
Appearance
Yu Ke is a tall, slender young man with a refined rather than imposing appearance. His bodily transformations leave him fairer, healthier, and more composed than he was previously. 26 159 240
- Pitch-black eyes compared to stars, with a livelier and steadier gaze after his physical recovery. 26 52
- Fair, lightly rosy complexion and relaxed brows. 26 159
- Neat black hair and an understated, gentle bearing. 52 240
- Carries a faint, fresh fragrance noticed by Feng Ping, Xie Wanwan, and Zhang Ziling. 52 55
- Often practices swordsmanship in the courtyard at dawn, sword carried behind his back. 240 241
Personality
Yu Ke is polite and restrained in social settings. Even when other outer-sect disciples rise to greet him, he responds individually rather than putting on airs. His manner becomes noticeably warmer and more flexible after his transmigration, contrasting with the former Yu Ke's rigid, cultivation-only disposition. 3 26 161
He remains calm when challenged by people of greater status or cultivation. He refuses to yield to Pang He's provocations, retains composure under Xu Jiangxian's pressure, and is unaffected when an eighth-realm expert attempts to overwhelm him with force. 260 334 373
In the simulations, Yu Ke shows a practical concern for ordinary people alongside strategic ambition. His proposed policies prioritize livelihoods, education, population growth, commerce, and the weakening of aristocratic monopolies rather than merely military expansion. 136 137
Abilities & Skills
Kun Void Cauldron
The Kun Void Cauldron allows Yu Ke to enter and personally participate in simulated lives, including those of Lu Chen and Xie Guan. It also reacts to his emotional turmoil and produces Mediating Nectar for cultivation. 11 58 126 258 485
- Enables direct intervention rather than passive observation in simulations. 11 126
- Grants access to experiences across multiple identities and eras. 12 245

Insight into People
While inhabiting Lu Chen's life, Yu Ke uses the talent Insight into People to assess individuals from their life records with extraordinary accuracy. 12
- Determines Tuoba Shuyi's ambitions, paranoia, caution, and military habits from his biography. 12
- Supports strategies designed to exploit an opponent's personality rather than only their battlefield position. 12 13
- Later develops to the point where Yu Ke can seemingly sense Wu Ying's underlying thoughts from the available records. 128
- Initially depends on detailed life records and documented information. 12 128
Sword Arts
Yu Ke follows the sword path inherited from the Yu Clan and supplemented by Divine Firmament Sect teachings. 238 485
- Juntian Sword Art — Yu Clan sword scripture left by Yu Chuan; its ultimate form can condense six Dao arts. Yu Ke has access only to its first two chapters. 239
- Great Change Celestial Circuit Sword — A basic Divine Firmament Sect sword art cultivated alongside Juntian Sword Art. 485
- His comprehension of Juntian Sword Art sharply improves after Mediating Nectar affects his body and bloodline. 239
Buddhist and Demonic Martial Arts
As Xie Guan, Yu Ke cultivates Buddhist and demonic martial arts simultaneously, reaching the fifth realm in both. 408
- Maintains this dual cultivation in secret amid the instability growing in Bianjing. 408 412
- His martial cultivation allows him to remain composed before the force of an eighth-realm opponent. 373
Strategy and Statecraft
Yu Ke draws on broad historical knowledge and applies it to warfare, diplomacy, and administration. 134
- Breaks the Iron Pagoda Cavalry's threat by targeting the enemy commander's suspicion and exploiting fog, timing, and battlefield psychology. 12 13
- Deploys small forces to provoke multiple hostile armies while leading the main army north toward Huanglong Prefecture. 130
- Drafts reforms involving public banking, childbirth, education, trade, infrastructure, and commoners' livelihoods. 136 137
