Background

Belo'vir is an exceptionally old high elven mage who witnessed both Aegwynn and her teacher Magna Scavell. His experiences with their legacy made him wary of the Guardian's power and the instability that could result from its inheritance. 14

During the Troll Wars, one of Belo'vir's friends died immediately after teleporting to a battlefield because nausea prevented him from casting a defensive spell. The loss informs his insistence that combat mages master the fundamentals of survival. 24
