Impelaizer?

The demon of flames swept through the city blocks, turning even the clouds overhead the color of fire. The streets shook, the roads split apart, energy blasts riddled buildings with holes, and lasers scorched through the earth.

"All right, maybe we should get farther away." Jessica withdrew her gaze from the robot in the distance and turned around. "Even though it's still some way off, who knows? We'd better hurry up... huh???"

Holding her cup of milk tea, Jessica blinked blankly.

She realized that, at some point, both of her companions had already disappeared.

Impelaizer advanced slowly, unleashing its full firepower like a mobile artillery platform.

A mass of white light suddenly shot forth. A huge silver figure wrapped in radiance leaped high into the air and delivered a vicious flying kick to Impelaizer's sturdy head. Sparks flew from its black steel armor with a dull boom like a bomb detonating. The robot's body lurched sharply to one side, then crashed to the ground with a thunderous rumble, smashing a deep crack a thousand meters long into the roadway.

Using the kick against Impelaizer's head for leverage, Nexus flipped lightly through the air and landed in a half-crouch behind it.

The panic and anxiety of the people throughout the city instantly vanished, as though they had been scattered along with that pillar of light.

After several seconds of silence, cheers and applause erupted in their place.

But Impelaizer, which had just been kicked to the ground, immediately rose again—not by climbing up like a person, but by springing upright like a roly-poly toy, as if it had a spring mounted on its back.

Nexus assumed a fighting stance.

A shallow dent remained where he had kicked Impelaizer's head, but it repaired itself at a visible speed within a second.
