"Did you find Dark Lucifer's trail?" Richard looked at Zagi skeptically.

"Just some lingering traces, indicating places he might have visited." Zagi shrugged, casually continuing to eat the desserts on the table. "Didn't you ask that bunch of bucket-headed idiots to look into clues for you? They should be giving you the same answer soon enough. Someone ought to be coming to find you any moment now. Then you'll naturally know whether I'm telling the truth."

Bucket-heads... That sounded like the Nova Corps.

Though it might have been a little unkind, Richard found Zagi's description of the Novas rather amusing... It did seem strangely fitting.

With those Nova helmets sitting atop their heads, didn't they look exactly like bucket-heads?

Richard's gaze flickered as he studied him for a moment.

"So," Richard asked, "what did you find? Where did he go?"

Zagi kept eating without the slightest restraint with her left hand—acting as though she were in her own home—while extending her right hand.

Her palm, in this human form, was small and delicate, her long fingers perfectly proportioned. Yet the more so, the more jarring Richard found it. He simply could not connect the woman before him with that crazed demon who had once chased after him like mad.

He also noticed that Galacta, eating across the table, was staring over here without blinking her big eyes, clearly ready to pounce the instant Zagi made any suspicious move.

Apparently, Galacta had a terrible impression of Zagi as well. That was hardly surprising. Very few people could make Galacta angry, and even fewer could make her hold a grudge. Yet Zagi seemed to have accomplished both.

Invisible dark particles gathered in Zagi's palm, forming streaks of light that transformed into a map... or rather, a star chart.
