It was as if, in an instant, the fearless Asgardian God King who had once conquered in all directions had returned. Riding an eight-legged steed, clad in heavy armor, and gripping the golden, gleaming Gungnir, he radiated battle intent as though nothing could stop him.

Thor shouted, gripping Mjolnir in one hand and Stormbreaker in the other as he flew out to cover his father.
Even he had never imagined that, in his lifetime, he would have another chance to fight shoulder to shoulder with his father. Thor's temperament was somewhat like a younger Odin's. He did not fuss over this and that like the old man did. His thinking was quite simple: to hell with everything else—charge in and fight.
In Thor's eyes, the aged Odin had become a timid old man. Whenever anything happened, he liked to mutter about "Ragnarok," as if even his will to resist had been worn away by the endless years.
Now, after so many years, he was glad to step onto the battlefield with his father again. At least he knew that Asgard's lion of old had not truly vanished. He had merely carefully hidden his fangs, waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch one last desperate charge and bring his life as a warrior to a fitting close.
