Only when he could no longer sense Hylas or the nymphs did Ye Ting return to the ship in satisfaction.

Half a day later, Hercules finally realized that Hylas had disappeared.

That was hardly surprising. Hylas was not some helpless infant who needed constant care, so there was nothing strange about him acting alone. By the time Hercules noticed Hylas was gone, the best chance to quickly find him had already passed.

To Hercules, his adopted son Hylas was no different from his own flesh and blood. Naturally, he had to find him.

Thus, just as fate dictated, he bade farewell to his companions and remained behind alone to search for his adopted son.

So, faced with the failure of their scheme, how would the gods react?

Would they come and persuade this mighty hero to stop?

With that question in mind, Ye Ting once again secretly followed Hercules and observed him. Sure enough, a god soon appeared.

The visitor was Hermes, the divine messenger. After Ye Ting had broken one of his legs in the previous pantheon war, he had asked Hephaestus, the god of craftsmen, to make him a prosthetic limb.

Of course, no matter how masterful the god of craftsmen was, he could not create an artificial leg as useful as Hermes's original one. Hermes's speed as a divine messenger had inevitably declined.

Now, this 180-centimeter-tall divine messenger with a prosthetic limb appeared before Hercules and conveyed Zeus's command, hoping to make him rejoin the Argo's journey.

Unfortunately, Hercules righteously refused him.

In order to find his adopted son, this mighty hero would not even give the gods of Olympus any face.
