The Harpies flew high in the sky and could not be dealt with by ordinary means, so the heroes decided to use bows and arrows.

Ordinary arrows were not lethal to Harpies, so Ye Ting secretly enchanted the arrows with magic that increased "accuracy" and coated them with venom taken from Medusa in her Gorgon state.

Such arrows would surely grievously wound these divine "hounds."

The Argonauts knew nothing of this. They picked up the arrows enchanted by Ye Ting, drew their bows, and fired at the Harpies in the sky.

At that moment, they discovered that their archery had inexplicably become far more accurate.

But no one gave it much thought. Everyone assumed that, because they had followed Zeus's oracle, they had received his blessing.

Some even began loudly praising the great king of the gods.

Arrow after arrow struck the flying Harpies. As magical beasts, Harpies were not so easily killed by ordinary arrows, but they still shrieked in agony as they were hit.

Just then, Zeus's messenger, Aerys, appeared.

The rainbow god Aerys proclaimed the will of Zeus, king of the gods, to the Argonauts.

"Heroes of the Argo, do not kill the Harpies, the hounds of great Zeus. But I swear upon the Styx that these Harpies will never again torment Agenor's son."

Upon hearing this, the Argonauts all lowered their weapons.

Just as Aerys was preparing to take the Harpies away, those that had been struck by arrows suddenly began to fly unsteadily.

Aerys assumed that they were merely wounded and paid it no mind. With the constitution of magical beasts, such injuries would soon heal.
