There was another reason the gods were so eager to move against the Magic Pantheon: Colchis.

For Ye Ting and Hecate, offering protection to the Kingdom of Colchis and Aeetes was merely a way of repaying a favor.

But to the Olympian gods, as well as the deities who had once ruled the Greek Divine Realm before ultimately being defeated by the Olympian gods, it meant something entirely different.

Aeetes and the Kingdom of Colchis represented the mortal interests of the former sun god Helios, the former sea god Oceanus, and others.

These defeated gods had lost their former authority in their struggle against the Olympian gods. Naturally, they could not be content with that.

While the Olympian gods sat high atop Mount Olympus and ruled the world, these gods hid in every corner of Greece, coveting their positions of power and constantly watching for weaknesses in the Olympian gods.

Originally, faced with the ever-rising Olympian gods, they had basically given up all hope of reclaiming their authority.

For having been stripped of their divine offices, they were unlike the Olympian gods. The latter could continue growing stronger, while they could only grow weaker and weaker, until they ultimately perished after losing their divine offices.

But Hecate's ascension and the rise of the Magic Pantheon gave them hope.

As primordial gods, they too could see the impact of mortals becoming gods and how the emergence of magic hindered the gods' rule over mortals.

But those not in office had no place worrying about its affairs.

Having lost their divine offices, could they still afford to care about so much?

Restoring their divine offices and taking back their former positions from the Olympian gods were the only matters they cared about.

Everything else had to step aside.
