The bartender's words did not surprise them. After all, Jason had never eaten dishes like these anywhere else.
Only the bartender's mention of "learning magic" caught his attention.
So Jason took out a small piece of gold and placed it in the bartender's hand.
"Could you explain it to us in detail?" Jason said with a smile as he watched the bartender's face light up. "This is your payment."
"Of course, of course." Having received such a tip, the bartender beamed and became far more respectful toward them. After all, these were wealthy people who casually used gold as a tip.
The bartender then earnestly introduced Jason and the others to the methods used to make the various dishes. Judging from how practiced he was, he had clearly done this many times before.
"In fact, they say these new cooking methods were also spread by those mages. In the past, we only had two ways to prepare food: roasting it over fire and boiling it in water. That's what my grandfather said," the bartender revealed. "And you know, those mages really are clever people. Even when it comes to eating, they have all sorts of tricks. For example, this dish is called stir-fry."
As he spoke, he pointed at a dish of scrambled eggs with onions.
"Stir-fry?"
Jason, who had just put a bite of food into his mouth, could not help but stare in astonishment.
"Bartender, what is stir-fry?" Telamon asked with great interest.
"Well, I really can't explain it clearly right away. Simply put, it's a cooking process where you use a large iron pan, high heat, lots of oil, spices, and a special tool called a spatula to keep turning the food until it's cooked."
