How had the Argonauts ever seen anything like this? In a single exchange, five or six of them died to the dragon breath.
Before they had even come to challenge the dragon, the Argonauts had already been reduced to just over twenty people.
Now, three had been killed by the dragon's breath and physical attacks, and another six had been slain when the transformed Five Emperor Dragon unleashed five kinds of breath at once.
Adding the two mages who had expended "all their mana" to grant them "Power of the Wild" and "Enchanted Weapons," along with Asclepius, the team's medic, and Jason, the weakest among them, who could not fight, fewer than ten people remained capable of battle.
Yet the dragon before them had only unleashed its first wave of breath.
At this rate, the survivors would all be dead before they could even withstand two waves of the Five Emperor Dragon's breath.
How were they supposed to fight this?
The Argonauts were still trying to struggle. They attempted to avoid the dragon breath and inflict greater damage by drawing close, surrounding the dragon, attacking from every direction, and slipping into its blind spots.
However, reality proved that while such tactics might have had some effect against the original Dragon, they were utterly useless against the Five Emperor Dragon.
Unlike the original Dragon, the Five Emperor Dragon had five heads. Its long necks allowed it to cover every direction around its body, breathing dragon breath without a single blind spot and rendering their encirclement tactics ineffective.
Could they possibly still defeat this dragon?
