Calling them monsters was not entirely accurate. They were a type of troop that had never before appeared in Egypt—heavy infantry.
These heavy infantrymen wore gilded metal armor that covered them completely. Ordinary weapons and arrows could not harm them in the slightest. Each one was tall and powerfully built, wielding a heavy axe. One look was enough to tell that they were unstoppable warriors. Meribre could already imagine the consequences once these infantrymen broke into his formation.

The soldiers wore extravagant full-body leather armor and carried elite weapons that looked incomparably sharp. They stood in neat formations before the lines. The entire army was silent, not a single person making an unnecessary movement. They simply stood there, yet a chilling murderous aura naturally arose.
On their flanks were cavalry. Compared to the infantry, the cavalry formation was somewhat looser, but there were several hundred of them. Horses were much larger than foot soldiers, and from afar, their presence was especially intimidating.
