Ra's Sunburst [First Update]

"Why are they firing arrows now? Damn it, why did the wind change?"

As he watched the rain of arrows fly toward him, Meribre was both baffled and unlucky.

Yet he had no idea that none of this was an accident. The enemy wielded powers far beyond his imagination.

The guards around him instinctively stepped in front of him and raised their shields.

Arrows continuously struck the shields with dull thuds. The force of the impacts made the guards' hands tremble, but they managed to block them.

Unfortunately, ordinary soldiers were not as lucky as he was.

Because the order to charge had been given suddenly, the Heracleopolis Army's formation had already become a complete mess as they ran.

Egyptian soldiers had always lacked armor. Although many of them carried leather shields, such a scattered formation could not form a disciplined shield wall, and a single leather shield could not even fully protect one person.
