The southern end of Great Xia.
Heaven-Crying Mountain.
Xia Xuanyan walked in front, while the aged old woman followed behind him.
"Heaven-Crying Mountain has changed greatly these days," Xia Xuanyan suddenly said.
The old woman nodded. "The spiritual currents of heaven and earth are reviving. Years ago, the old Cult Master also relocated a spiritual vein here and sealed it with a grand formation. Heaven-Crying Mountain now possesses seventy percent of the spiritual energy concentration of a grotto-heaven blessed land."
"How is the Heaven-Crying Cult Master's health?" Xia Xuanyan asked.
"Thank you for the Xia Family Head's concern. The old Cult Master's condition is better than it was in previous years," the old woman said.
"Did he know I was coming?" Xia Xuanyan asked again.
"He did." The old woman nodded.
Then she stopped and looked overhead.
Xia Xuanyan also stopped, his gaze narrowing as he looked upward.
A streak of purple light fell from the sky like a meteor, like a falling star from beyond the heavens.
"He's here," Xia Xuanyan said.
In a mere instant.
The purple meteor fell, yet it stirred not the slightest movement or ripple. The transition between motion and stillness seemed to defy the laws of physics.
A figure appeared before Xia Xuanyan.
The visitor wore a long purple dress that exposed most of her skin.
Her face appeared to be around fifty years old, wrinkles piled across it.
Yet the skin exposed on her body was as delicate as that of a sixteen-year-old girl, creating a jarringly discordant sight.
Looking at the figure before him, Xia Xuanyan understood that this Heaven-Crying Cult Master, like himself, had arrived through an incarnation.
After the Martial Saint had acted in the East Sea last time, they had completely abandoned any notion of provoking that ill-starred fate.
