Once everything had settled, Columbus—no, Magellan—ran out of the research station.
The climate in this area had been thrown into complete chaos. Even the blizzard that had raged before had come to a halt.
When Magellan emerged from the sealed door in her protective suit, she even saw sunlight she had not seen in a long time.
"Bai Ye... what is this?"
Magellan quickly walked to Bai Ye's side. The enormous monster that had flickered in and out of sight amid the snowstorm was gone, but what caught her attention was the massive pit that had appeared in the snow.
Facing the black opening that resembled an abyss, Magellan's heart was filled with a desire to explore the unknown and boundless curiosity.
The girl seemed incapable of fear. Judging by her eager expression, she appeared to want to climb down through the opening.
"Don't go. It's too deep... who knows what might be down there." Bai Ye reached out to stop Magellan. He felt that she was like one of those reckless explorers in terrible Columbia movies. Usually, people like that played the role of the machine responsible for getting the whole team killed.
"But, Bai Ye, I really want to know what's down there. This is an opportunity! There might be something beneath this place that I've always dreamed of finding!"
Magellan clenched her hands tightly and looked unwillingly at the opening.
"That thing just climbed up from down there." Bai Ye pointed at the hole. "If there's more than one of them, that'll be interesting."
Bai Ye did not know how to effectively kill such strange monsters. It seemed that only complete vaporization by a Magic Cannon could wipe them out cleanly.
One was still manageable, but if there were too many, even Bai Ye would find it
