Background / History

Tang Wulin first attends elementary school as a shy girl uneasy around strangers. She becomes fixated on Luo Qing after sensing his distinctive mint-and-light scent, which makes her feel safe and warm. Although Luo Qing initially avoids her, he eventually accepts her as his “number-one little brother,” protects her from bullying, and encourages her to be upright and compassionate. 3 4

She helps Luo Qing rescue the amnesiac Na'er from attempted kidnappers and invites Na'er into her family. Tang Wulin, Luo Qing, and Na'er become inseparable until Na'er leaves with Di Tian. Devastated by the separation and feeling powerless, Tang Wulin commits herself more intensely to forging. 5 6

Her emotional recovery coincides with rapid progress in forging. She achieves Thousand Forging, acquires the plant-type soul spirit Thousand-Tree Vine, and sees her Blue Silver Grass mutate into deep-blue, gold-scaled vines. During a spar with Gu Yue, Tang Wulin wins through persistence, vine control, and the restraint to stop her final punch before striking her opponent.
