"But you must understand that nothing in this world is eternal. The world and time will both come to an end, and so will the gods."

Uranus's furrowed brow relaxed slightly, because those words did not sound like a prophecy. The sense of crisis in his heart lessened somewhat.

At this moment, Uranus had only just obtained the powerful divine authority of [Fatherhood], as well as the world's recognition. He possessed world-creating might equal to, or even surpassing, that of the primordial gods. This was the unprecedented height of his power.

That surging, boundless power made him feel that nothing in this world was unchangeable. Even if the world truly reached its end, he could forcibly reverse it, for he did indeed possess the power to create worlds.

However, that still did not seem to explain the phrase "the first generation of God-King."

"Honored God of Prophecy, I wish to know my fate," Uranus said. "Will there be other God-Kings after me?"

Theron immediately revealed an awkward expression. His attempt to change the subject, and his failure to do so, were painfully obvious as he carefully persuaded him.

"Your Majesty, sometimes knowing the future is not a good thing. Perhaps it is better not to know."

"Lord Theron, you need only tell me what you saw. There is no need to worry about anything else." Uranus remained completely unmoved.

Seeing this, Theron sighed, looking both helpless and regretful.

"Since that is your wish, Your Majesty."

"You will rule this world for an era, but in the end, your position as God-King will be replaced by your child."

Theron looked at Uranus and spoke calmly yet firmly, word by word. "Royal power is not eternal."

The instant those words fell, the entire divine hall became deathly silent. The newborn Twelve Titans' expressions changed drastically, while flames of fury rose in Gaia's eyes as she glared fiercely at Theron.

Gaia knew all too well what kind of challenge those words posed to the bond between father and son. At that moment, intense dissatisfaction arose within her toward Theron. If Uranus had not been present, she might have struck him on the spot.

Among all the gods, the calmest was instead Uranus, the protagonist of the prophecy.

No unusual expression appeared on the great God-King's face. There was no anger, no surprise, only an unfathomable stillness like an ancient well.

It was precisely because he did not state his position that, despite the turbulent emotions churning within them, the Twelve Titans and Gaia did not dare act rashly.

"Lord Theron, is there anything else in the prophecy?" Uranus asked calmly, as though he did not care in the slightest about the utterly treasonous words Theron had just spoken.

"Your child will eventually raise a blade against you, with the help of his kin." After Theron finished seriously, he bowed slightly and said respectfully, "Your Majesty, that is all I was able to see."

"I am truly sorry. My divine power is too weak, so I could see only this much."

He subtly indicated that he had merely witnessed a fragment of fate and relayed it, rather than creating it himself.

Uranus nodded and accepted his explanation. After all, Theron's weakness was obvious to the naked eye.

"Then, Lord Theron, what is your request?"

He did not ask further about the prophecy, as though Theron had merely said something insignificant. This utterly unconcerned attitude stemmed from his absolute confidence in his own strength.

Just as Theron had expected.

Having only recently gained the world's recognition and ascended to the position of God-King, Uranus now possessed world-creating might. It would not be an exaggeration to say that he feared no challenge.

If the opponent in Theron's prophecy had been one of the other primordial gods, Uranus might have worried. But his child... Uranus found it absurd.

The Twelve Titans had only just been born, yet they already possessed moderate divine power. Perhaps after growing stronger, they might become beings with powerful divine might, but that would be their limit.

Uranus did not even think all of them combined were worthy of being his opponents.

Thus, the prophecy instantly became laughable. But when he saw that it had come from such a weak god, he found it understandable again.

For a moment, he even found himself ridiculous. He had actually believed the prophecy of such a weak god to some extent. Although everything Theron had said during their first meeting had come true, one instance alone proved nothing.

He was completely at ease now. He could not even be bothered to take issue with the offense implied in Theron's prophecy, feeling that doing so would be beneath him.

He intended to fulfill his promise, grant Theron one reasonable request, and then dismiss him. The thought of such a weak creature being on his divine mountain was already an eyesore.

"Thank you for your generosity, Your Majesty." Delight appeared on Theron's face. This undisguised expression made Uranus feel even more disdainful, though none of it showed on his face.

"I... I wish for you to acknowledge my divine authority in your capacity as God-King."

Theron said somewhat embarrassedly, "I am too weak. Even the body manifested by my divine authority cannot fully solidify. If you, as God-King, are willing to acknowledge it, then my divine authority should finally become fully stable."

Once those words were spoken, not only Uranus, but even the newborn Twelve Titans revealed looks of disdain. They knew Theron was weak, but they had not expected him to be this weak.

Uranus found it increasingly amusing, though he was not laughing at Theron's weakness. Theron was not worthy of stirring any emotion in him. He was laughing at himself, laughing that he had solemnly invited such a fellow to such an important divine banquet.

But this request was far too simple for him, so he had no reason to refuse.

Moreover, it was merely the divine authority of prophecy, not an important position. Even if he acknowledged it, there would be no hidden danger.

Uranus nodded calmly. His majestic voice echoed through the entire divine hall as a strange ripple connected with the whole world.

"I, Uranus, in my capacity as God-King, acknowledge Lord Theron's divine authority."

A sincere smile instantly appeared on Theron's face. His previously illusory body immediately solidified, and even the divine power within him surged significantly. The power of fate he had already grasped became clearer and more inseparable from him.

The Chaos World, which had always rejected him, finally accepted him completely at this moment.

Theron bowed slightly and thanked him sincerely. "Thank you for your help, Your Majesty."

"You truly are a generous God-King."

Goddesses of Fate

Theron took the initiative to request leave from the divine mountain.

Although Uranus put on a show of trying to keep him, once Theron insisted, he was happy to go along with it. He had Gaia escort him away, even though the divine banquet had only just begun.

Compared to the harmony of his arrival, a more oppressive atmosphere filled the air when he departed. This was clearly because of Theron's prophecy.

Because of his absolute confidence in his own strength, Uranus displayed unexpected magnanimity. But Gaia was not pleased.

Whether it was her beloved husband or her cherished children, they were all people she cared about. Theron's prophecy would clearly affect their relationship, something Gaia absolutely did not wish to see.

Thus, the Mother of Earth, who had always been known for her gentleness, wore a cold expression at this moment. Her entire body radiated the oppressive might of a primordial god.

This was extremely unfriendly toward a god as weak as Theron. When she had come for him, Gaia had carefully restrained her aura. Now, however, she did not conceal her dissatisfaction with him in the slightest.

"Lord Theron, do you understand what impact your prophecy will have on the bond between father and son? They should have lived together in harmony."

"Honored Mother of Earth, I did not wish to make such a prophecy either, but I could not refuse the God-King's request." Theron sighed, his tone helpless and his expression troubled.

"I could only truthfully report what I saw. After all, the God-King's great divine power is not something beings like us can resist."

Although Gaia was dissatisfied, she knew Theron was speaking the truth. She had seen his repeated attempts to evade the matter in the divine hall, but Uranus had persisted, leaving him with no choice.

Could such a weak god truly be expected to defy the God-King's command? Or should he fabricate pleasing lies to deceive the God-King? No matter which approach he took, Uranus would likely not spare Theron.

But understanding that did not dispel the resentment in Gaia's heart. She took a deep breath, trying her best to suppress her emotions before asking again.

"Then, Lord Theron, will this prophecy truly happen? Is there a way to avoid it?"

"I also wish I could answer your question, honored Mother of Earth, great Queen of the Gods, but I am simply too weak. I merely spoke of what I saw; I cannot interpret it."

"So I do not know whether it will happen."

"I see." Gaia withdrew her gaze in disappointment and fell silent, pondering what should be done in the future and how she could resolve the effects brought about by this prophecy.

In the end, she did not take out her anger on Theron. There was no need to, and the Mother of Earth was kind by nature.

She sent Theron back to that endless void. But just as she was about to leave and return, Theron suddenly spoke.

"Lady Gaia, if one day you have other thoughts, you may come find me again."

"By then, perhaps I will be able to ease your worries."

Gaia's lips moved, as though she wanted to force out a smile, but in the end she could not manage it.

Though she believed Theron was so weak that he could not possibly be of any help, she still nodded politely and replied perfunctorily, "Very well. Thank you for your kindness, Lord Theron."

With that, she lingered no longer and hurried back to the divine mountain.

The moment she returned, she felt the atmosphere, so quiet it seemed almost frozen solid.

The Twelve Titans all kept their heads lowered, displaying obedience and docility. They did not dare make the slightest movement, while Uranus calmly scrutinized them, observing their every action.

As the embodiment of [Fatherhood], Uranus held absolute suppression over his children. This suppression was not merely in divine power, but in status as well.

Before this powerful father, the Twelve Titans felt both reverence and fear, entirely by instinct, like mice facing a cat.

Their timid and cowardly behavior made Uranus feel even more disdainful. He did not believe in the slightest that they possessed the ability to overthrow him.

As for the help of kin... Uranus turned his gaze toward the distant horizon, where the sea lay. Gaia's other child, whom she had conceived alone—the sea god Pontus—was there.

This god, who likewise possessed powerful divine might, was stronger and more threatening than his children. Before Uranus became God-King, they had held the same status.

But now that he was God-King, Pontus's divine power was instantly no longer worth considering. He still could not threaten Uranus.

With that thought, Uranus finally relaxed completely, though he did not reveal it in the slightest. The gaze he swept over his children remained full of pressure.

When Gaia returned and saw this, she was immediately filled with worry for her children's future.

After thinking for a moment, she took the initiative to walk over to Uranus's side and said softly in a gentle voice, "Uranus, my beloved, perhaps the truth is not as we imagine."

"Lord Theron's ability is too lacking, and his words may not be reliable. Perhaps we should ask a more esteemed being."

A trace of hope still remained in her heart. She would rather believe that Theron's weakness had made his prophecy inaccurate.

Uranus became somewhat interested and answered patiently, "Gaia, my Queen, whom do you believe we should ask?"

"Not long ago, the honored Goddess of Night, Lady Nyx, gave birth to the three destined goddesses. They are observers of fate. Perhaps they know more."

"The three Goddesses of Fate?" Uranus's eyes flickered. When those three had been born, heaven and earth had also undergone strange changes, representing the powerful divine authorities they possessed.

Although they were merely observers of fate, anyone touched by fate was unquestionably powerful.

Moreover, no one could control fate. Even observers of fate were far more powerful than the so-called divine authority of prophecy. The difference between them was as vast as heaven and earth.

After all, prophecy was merely a subordinate branch of fate. Not to mention that Theron was so weak, seemingly unable even to fully control the divine authority of prophecy and needing him, the God-King, to acknowledge it.

Looking at it this way, asking Theron about the prophecy had indeed been a mistake. Perhaps they should have asked the three Goddesses of Fate from the beginning.

No, that was not right. He should not have cared about every word that weak fellow said in the first place. Then there would have been no need to ask any of these questions.

Uranus sighed inwardly, but still nodded. Looking at Gaia, who was watching him with deep concern, he said, "Then when the divine banquet ends, we shall visit those three respected Goddesses of Fate."

Only then did Gaia reveal a relieved smile. But in the next moment, Uranus gently pushed away the body leaning against him and said gently yet firmly.

"Now, I believe it is necessary to teach the children how to conduct themselves and fulfill their divine authorities."

Gaia's smile immediately froze on her face.

The Twelve Titans

Because of the strength of his own divine power, Uranus did not believe Theron's prophecy, nor did he think these children had the ability to overthrow him. But that did not prevent him from venting his dissatisfaction through them.

In his eyes, Theron's prophecy was simply an offense. As the proud God-King, there was no way he could be pleased.
