He used immense force. The lump of flesh traced a perfect arc through the air, passing directly beyond the world and falling into the boundless Ocean current that encircled it.
As that thing crossed the world, countless drops of blood essence fell upon the earth. They later became the origins of the Erinyes, the Giants, and Melia.
Uranus immediately looked toward the sea, where his younger brother, the primordial sea god Pontus, resided. If Pontus were willing, he could immediately reclaim his severed flesh.
But Pontus chose silence. The primordial sea god, who had always avoided conflict, had also suffered greatly under Uranus's suspicion over the past thousand years. He remembered it all and had no intention of helping Uranus now.
"You damned traitors!" Uranus roared in fury, his voice echoing across the entire earth.
His children's blades, his beloved's betrayal, his blood kin's silence—in that moment, Uranus tasted the bitterness of being abandoned by all.
"You brought this upon yourself!" Kronos said coldly. "My cruel father, it is time for you to repay the cruel sins you have committed!"
Fury burned in Uranus's eyes, and he looked as though he wanted to devour Kronos alive.
Yet he still suppressed the surging emotions in his heart. Ignoring the Twelve Titans' attempts to entangle him, he directly wielded the authority of the sky and shot toward the Ocean current at incredible speed.
He knew clearly that restoring his strength was what mattered most now, not wasting time in meaningless conflict with these traitors.
Once he reclaimed the authority of the God-King, these traitors would naturally be sliced into a thousand pieces!
The Twelve Titans tried to stop him again, but Uranus's desperate outburst of divine power was too much for them to bear. He was not trying to defeat them—he was trying to break free of them.
Just as they were about to fail to stop him, at this most critical moment, as if guided by something unseen, Oceanus, god of the Ocean current, suddenly recalled what Theron had told him before—
"Where it began is where it must end."
"Only you can bring this to an end. Remember, leave no future trouble behind."
At last, he understood the meaning of those words. His expression became extraordinarily complicated in an instant, but the situation was urgent, leaving him no time to hesitate or think. He fully unleashed his divine power, and the entire Ocean current began to boil!
Countless feminine powers symbolizing the sea and water sources gathered into the mutilated flesh, utterly extinguishing the masculinity contained within it. The flesh disintegrated in the water, turning into countless dreamlike bubbles.
Uranus watched it happen with his own eyes and let out a despairing, furious roar. "No!"
At that moment, he clearly felt something leave him forever. It was the world's recognition, and it was also his supreme position as God-King.
Having forever lost masculinity and fatherhood, he could never again become the God-King.
He had lost everything.
Unparalleled resentment swept through Uranus's heart. His gaze, as if he wanted to devour someone, fixed fiercely on the Twelve Titans, then on Kronos—the culprit holding the sickle that had caused all of this.
Even having lost the supreme might of the God-King, he was still the powerful ruler of the sky. Though he and the Twelve Titans were all powerful deities, there were differences even among powerful deities.
Some gods were powerful because they had barely reached that realm, while others were powerful because breaking through to the next realm was too difficult.
Uranus belonged to the latter, while the Twelve Titans belonged to the former.
If the battle continued, he might lose, but the Twelve Titans would also pay an absolutely terrible price.
But Uranus, having completely lost his position as God-King, no longer had the heart to keep fighting. He wanted only revenge—mad, relentless revenge.
With wrath in his eyes that seemed capable of burning everything to ashes, he mobilized all his divine power. Staring at Kronos with boundless hatred, he used every last ounce of strength to command the entire world and deliver his final curse.
"Kronos." Uranus's voice was hoarse and low, every word laden with the deepest malice. "I curse you."
Kronos sensed that something was wrong and tried to stop him, but Uranus, who had burned away everything, was unimaginably powerful in that moment—so powerful that Kronos could barely resist.
Kronos could only watch helplessly as he cast the curse, feeling something forcibly imposed upon him.
But just as Uranus's curse was about to leave his lips, a figure in white robes slowly emerged from the endless void. He was a handsome man with a gentle temperament.
Theron looked at Uranus, who had fallen completely into madness, raised a finger to his lips, and softly shushed him—
"Fate must not be spoken."
With just one sentence, Uranus's curse, formed with every ounce of his strength, could no longer be spoken. He stared dumbly at the white-robed figure, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Theron simply gave him a gentle smile, just as he had when they first met a thousand years ago.
New God-King
This sudden turn of events left everyone frozen in place.
Whether it was Uranus's desperate curse, unleashed with everything he had, or Theron's sudden appearance to interrupt it, both caught the Twelve Titans completely off guard.
They had no idea what had happened and could only stare blankly at this development beyond all their expectations.
Uranus was equally stunned. He had never imagined that his all-out attack would be interrupted—and that the one to interrupt him would be that insignificant weakling he had never taken seriously.
How is this possible?!
Even if he was no longer the God-King, he was still the powerful ruler of the sky, possessing strength far beyond the Twelve Titans. Yet this weakling, who could not even secure his own divine authority, had interrupted a curse he had cast with all his strength?
Uranus was initially shocked and found it utterly inconceivable, but he soon realized something and recalled the strange things about Theron.
Though not powerful, he had been born even earlier than the primordial gods. Not only had he foreseen the birth of the Twelve Titans, he had personally predicted the day Uranus would be overthrown. He had even seen that the one to overthrow him would be his child...
That was not something a weak god of prophecy could accomplish! Even the Three Fates could not see the fate of a God-King. What right did a weak god of prophecy have to do so?
Wait—the Three Fates had a Father God above them. The direction from which they had returned after visiting their Father God was precisely the void where Theron resided!
Their Father God was not Erebus, the eternal darkness, at all. It was Theron!
And he was not some god of prophecy. He was actually the god of fate. Only that could explain why he had been able to stop Uranus from speaking that fated curse!
At last, Uranus understood everything. He also understood that he had not lost to Kronos, but to his own arrogance—to that legendary fate.
Everything that happened today had long been destined. All his struggles and resistance had merely been part of fate's inevitable fulfillment.
"Ridiculous. Ridiculous. I actually never discovered your true divine authority. You were so weak, so weak that I never paid you any heed!"
Uranus gave a miserable laugh. He understood that he had lost completely and that there was no longer any possibility of turning things around.
By now, it was all too late. The moment his symbol of masculinity had been extinguished, it had become too late to say anything. He had no more chances.
Though the curse he had commanded the world to fulfill with all his strength had not been spoken aloud, it had still taken effect. In exchange, however, his divine power was rapidly declining, and he no longer had the strength to fight.
Kronos keenly noticed this and knew it was the perfect opportunity. Without the slightest hesitation, he declared:
"I, Kronos, god of time and space, pronounce judgment in the name of the future God-King. The god of the sky violated the laws of childbirth set by the Earth Mother and tyrannized the gods. He is guilty!"
"I hereby declare that Uranus, god of the sky, shall be sentenced to eternal slumber. From this day onward, the sky shall forever remain apart from the earth, and they shall never meet again!"
Gods could not be killed.
Kronos could defeat Uranus, but he could never kill him. Moreover, the world needed the sky, so he could not cast Uranus into Tartarus for eternal imprisonment.
Settling for the next best option, he could only make Uranus fall into eternal slumber.
Uranus did not resist, because he knew that the moment Theron appeared, everything had lost its meaning.
Feeling the divine power within him gradually fall silent, Uranus cast one final deep glance at the earth, which had remained silent all along, and allowed the will of the world to erase his humanoid form.
Under the close watch of the Twelve Titans, he turned into a mass of formless gas and followed the breath of his true body upward, higher and higher, until he finally reached an immeasurable height and fell into eternal sleep.
Thus, heaven and earth were finally separated completely, never to meet again.
The rule of Uranus, ruler of the sky and supreme first-generation God-King, came to a complete end that day. An era had come to its close.
Just as the prophecy of a thousand years ago had said, he would rule the world for an era—but only for an era.
Only then did Kronos, still holding the sickle, finally relax completely.
He instinctively searched for the white-robed figure in the void, only to discover that it had vanished at some point, silently, as though it had never been there.
Kronos could not help frowning deeply.
Although Uranus had not managed to finish speaking because Theron had interrupted him, Kronos could feel that the power of the curse had still wrapped around him. Worse still, he did not know the contents of the curse.
He wanted to find out exactly what he had been cursed with, but he also knew this was not the time.
Uranus had been defeated, but his brothers and sisters were still here. The question of who would become the God-King was unlikely to be easily settled.
But he soon discovered that Oceanus, the powerful god he feared most, was now weak in aura and had already lost the ability to fight.
Kronos immediately understood. This was the price Oceanus had paid to destroy Uranus's severed flesh.
The other Titans were not much stronger than he was. With the divine artifact sickle in his hand, they were no match for him at all.
After quickly assessing the situation, Kronos was first stunned, then overwhelmed with joy.
At last, he understood what Theron had meant when he said that fate stood on his side. Once the dust settled, he was unquestionably the next God-King.
At the same time, he could not suppress the fear that arose in his heart toward that mysterious god of fate.
He had foreseen everything. His abilities are unfathomable. He is nowhere near as weak as he appears. He could even interrupt Uranus's all-out curse!
Thinking this, Kronos became even more wary of Theron.
Still, no matter what, this cruel rule had finally ended. Every problem and threat had been resolved, and the world had finally returned to peace once more.
After Oceanus, the strongest Titan god, lost his ability to fight, Kronos—who had contributed the most and accomplished the most in this rebellion—rightfully became the next God-King. He did not even encounter much resistance.
The courage and responsibility he had displayed in this battle were already enough to prove everything, and he successfully gained the recognition of the gods.
As the gods declared their allegiance, the will of the world likewise acknowledged this young and brave god of time and space.
Thus, the entire world returned to its proper course once more and entered a brand-new era.
The era ruled by Kronos.
Changing of Divine Authority
"Oh, my children, you did it. You accomplished a great feat and brought that painful era to an end."
When everything had concluded, Gaia emerged from the earth, covered in wounds. She had not appeared earlier because she had been using the earth's peaks to resist the sky, which had continuously pressed downward in an attempt to destroy everything.
Had she not blocked it, the Twelve Titans would not have been able to fight Uranus and emerge victorious.
Her appearance instantly ignited the atmosphere. Though the Twelve Titans all bore injuries to varying degrees, they were still sincerely happy at this moment.
They no longer had to suffer the oppression and torment of the God-King. Nor did they have to fear being thrown into the abyss of Tartarus one day without warning. They were finally free.
They began celebrating their victory and congratulating Kronos on his ascension as the new king.
"You are right, our great and beloved mother. This is indeed something worth celebrating."
Kronos was still troubled by Uranus's final unspoken curse, but at this moment, faced with everyone's congratulations, he could only temporarily bury the matter in his heart and force out a smile.
They returned to the divine mountain and began a feast that lasted dozens of days, celebrating this new era.
Just as the gods celebrated without restraint because they had finally escaped their long torment, Kronos, the new God-King and god of time and space, quietly sought out Gaia, the Earth Mother.
"Great and revered Mother, I believe you also saw it in the final battle. Uranus, god of the sky, cast a vicious curse upon me, but Lord Theron interrupted him before he could speak it aloud."
Kronos looked troubled, his eyes full of worry. "Even so, I still felt the power of a curse settle upon me. Why is that? Was the curse not interrupted?"
