A Major Test

Going to the Kremlin naturally called for keeping a low profile, so Wang Ye did not take his motorcade. He simply had Seryozha drive them over.

Now, Wang Ye no longer needed someone to lead him into that building.

He only had to show his identification at the entrance. Once he had passed security, he could enter.

Of course, things like phones and weapons still could not be brought inside. They had to be handed to the staff and placed in lockers in the first-floor lobby, to be retrieved when they left.

Rosiana was no exception and went through the same security check.

After going upstairs, Wang Ye led Rosiana straight to Gebliev's office, clearly familiar with the route.

When they pushed open the door, they saw Gebliev holding the receiver of his desk phone, discussing work with someone.

Seeing the two of them enter, Gebliev smiled and waved, signaling for them to sit down.

They each found a chair and sat. Less than two minutes later, Gebliev finished his call.

With a smile, he said, "Wait a moment. Mr. Putin is still busy with something. We'll go over once he's finished."

Wang Ye and Rosiana nodded, showing their understanding.

Putin truly was extremely busy. Given his position, there were simply too many major national matters for him to handle every day.

His daily schedule had to be planned down to the minute!

The few times Wang Ye had gone over for dinner, he had also left right on time. Based on the schedule the secretary had informed him of beforehand, the meals were generally kept between thirty and forty-five minutes.

The three of them chatted for a while, naturally focusing on today's Duma assembly.
