An Incognito Visit

It was the weekend. Nalan Yaqi had originally planned to ask a couple of her girlfriends out shopping.

But when she saw that Wang Ye was free, a new idea came to her.

She wanted Wang Ye to go shopping with her.

The central fountain within the center, the Fountain of Friendship of Peoples, consisted of a gilded statue symbolizing a bountiful harvest, surrounded by fifteen young women of different ethnicities holding sheaves of wheat. It represented the Former Soviet Union's fifteen republics.

But by now, VDNKh was no longer an exhibition center. It had been transformed into a massive "shopping center."
