Background
Transformation Force is the perfection stage of the Eight Extremes Stake Skill and the highest of the first three martial realms: Bright Force, Hidden Force, and Transformation Force. Bright Force corresponds to minor stake-skill mastery, Hidden Force to major mastery, and Transformation Force to perfection. 9
The first three realms temper qi and blood, flesh, skin, tendons, bones, and meridians. Although Transformation Force practitioners are regarded in secular society as eminent martial masters, the realm remains part of the foundational martial stage. Embracing the Core is identified as the fourth realm and the first true step toward becoming a martial powerhouse. 66 91
A Transformation Force breakthrough requires sufficiently powerful vitality and blood to enter the meridians, clear their blockages, and open acupoints. During Zhao Feng's breakthrough, his force repeatedly scattered within the meridians until he condensed it and opened the barriers one by one. 83
Characteristics
Unity of Force
Transformation Force unifies tendons, bones, vitality, blood, and intent. Bright Force's outward explosiveness and Hidden Force's inward penetration cease to function as separate powers; hardness and softness can instead change according to the user's intent. 83
- Force can remain concealed in the smallest movement or spread throughout the body. 83
- It erupts upon contact and can be withdrawn immediately afterward, making its direction and timing difficult to anticipate. 83
- A user may neutralize incoming force through soft redirection before returning it against the opponent. 89 90
- Zhao Feng used this principle to absorb Du Feiyang's attack and rebound its force back at him. 90
Character-Transformation Force
Character-Transformation Force is a recognizable expression of the realm. Zhao Feng used it to neutralize Yan Luo's mountain-splitting punch without apparent injury, causing the attack to vanish “like a clay ox entering the sea.” 89
- It can disperse an opponent's force with subtle body movement and controlled redirection. 89
- It enables techniques where intent and force arrive together, without relying on visibly hard or soft power. 89
- Its use can reveal a practitioner's realm even before they openly activate their qi and blood. 89
Force Projection
Transformation Force allows vitality and blood force to be released and withdrawn at will, including projection beyond the body. At sufficient mastery, even flying flowers and plucked leaves can injure opponents. 78
- Zhu Jing's saber force formed an airborne wave capable of cutting down multiple soldiers. 78
- Zhao Feng's attacks produce condensed force that can remain cohesive rather than dispersing immediately. 96
- The gap between a true Transformation Force practitioner and someone half a step into the realm is described as immense. 96
Defensive Force Control
A defining display of Transformation Force is the ability to maintain an invisible defensive field around the body. Zhao Feng's force repelled leaves and insects before they could touch his clothes or hair. 83
- Incoming attacks may be halted, dispersed, redirected, or absorbed through controlled force. 89 90
- A leaf could hover near Zhao Feng's shoulder without falling or being blown away amid the clash of two Transformation Force experts. 90
- This level of control is summarized by the saying: “A feather cannot be added; not even a fly can land.” 83
Limits and Advancement
- Transformation Force is the limit of the Eight Extremes Stake Skill; its Consummation corresponds to the peak of the realm. Further advancement requires an internal cultivation method. 83
- The Eight Extremes Gate restricts its internal cultivation methods, including Primordial Eight Extremes Force, to inner disciples. 91
- Huo Shan advises consolidating one’s foundation until late Transformation Force before attempting an inner sect assessment. 91
- Secret medicines can greatly improve the chance of reaching Transformation Force, but their side effects are described as terrifying. 77
- Many practitioners consider poor bone structure a major obstacle beyond Transformation Force, though Zhao Feng's advancement with fifth-grade bone structure is treated as an exceptional case. 100 106
