In the Southern Wilderness, evil gods held sway, slaughtering living beings.
Within a short time, natural disasters and man-made calamities erupted one after another, leaving the people destitute. Yet the more it was so, the more devoutly living beings believed, and the more flourishing the gods' incense offerings became. Many humans who had originally refused to believe in gods had no choice but to seek something upon which to rest their souls.
Faced with such a situation, the major immortal cultivation forces of the Southern Wilderness grew somewhat panicked and could no longer stand by idly. Yet just as they sought to suppress the divine chaos, they suddenly discovered that it was already too late. A single spark had set the prairie ablaze. Not only had their first move failed to suppress the Divine Dao, but they had suffered considerable losses themselves. For a time, the entire Southern Wilderness was filled with unease.
At this moment, within the Great Void, a bright moon hung high overhead, spilling hazy moonlight and sealing off inside from outside. Within that moon stood palaces, and several figures flickered in and out of sight. At their head was none other than the current master of the Void Dao Hall, Cold Moon Fairy Yue Shuli.
"Still no sign of Eyeless Daoist?"
Her Dharma Eye reflecting all below, Cold Moon Fairy overlooked the entire Southern Wilderness.
After noticing the abnormalities in the Southern Wilderness, Cold Moon Fairy had done two things. First, she had followed the trail and conducted a purge within the Void Dao Hall, thoroughly establishing the authority of her new position as hall master. Second, she had mobilized the immortal army and entered the Southern Wilderness.
The previous strange phenomena, especially the disappearance of Eyeless Daoist's true body, had made Cold Moon Fairy vigilant.
